Furniture Construction Continues

Sarah’s had another piece of furniture made for her bedroom, a new desk.

A wooden desk stands in Sarah's bedroom, underneath the corkboard. It is a lighter wood than the bookcase, which is visible in the background alongside the bed. The desk has an inbuilt shelf, resting on top of curved risers, and the space underneath the shelf is open for storage. The desk also has two slim drawers underneath the front of the work surface.

This one is a lot more compact than the one before (which had a glass top and bulky white cabinets).

Sarah stands beside the new desk in her bedroom, one hand resting on the inbuilt shelf. She wears her khaki jacket with navy pants, a grey shirt, and black shoes. She is looking at the desk, thinking.

It’s got drawers as well, for hiding secrets. (Like that they don’t actually open, but shh. Secrets.)

Close-up of the drawers underneath the work surface. Their handles are small beads, meant to imitate knobs.

It’ll be a good little spot for studying those hefty astronomy tomes and going over findings from a night’s stargazing.

Overhead shot of the desk, which now has a silver horse statue, a notebook, a wooden ruler, and a pencilcase on it. There is also a dark wood dining chair tucked under it.

Sarah’s eager to move all her notebooks and textbooks over here, so there’s even more space on her bookshelf.

Sarah sits at the desk, angled slightly towards the camera. She has one elbow resting on the desk, and is looking at the silver horse statue. The notebook, ruler, and pencilcase are just in front of her on the desk's surface. Behind Sarah is her bed and the bedroom door.

I do also want to make some candlesticks, a jar for writing equipment, maybe I’ll find some miniature cut flowers to put in a little vase. More broadly, this is a chair she borrowed from her dining room, so a dedicated desk chair is probably my next project.

Anyways, see ya!
