Sixth Time’s a Charm

Look, I try my hardest to diversify beyond blue in my clothes (and objects in my life generally), but on this account, I have failed.

The author stands outside, against a hedge with small purple flowers. She's photographed from the waist down. She wears a pair of navy linen pants with a chambray blue shirt and black boots. She has ehr hands in the pants' pockets.

This is the sixth pair of Simplicity 8457 pants I’ve made, and I still have to look up what number the pattern is as I write these posts!

The author stands against a hedge, photographed from the waist down. She wears the same navy pants/black boots combo, this time with one hand on her hip and one at her side.

These might just be my best pair yet – they fit really well, the zip is lovely and neat, so are the pleats….

Close-up of the waistband and pockets of the pants. The invisible zip is nearly invisible, the pocket openings are disgonal, and there are two pleats between the pocket and the centre front.

I used a different interfacing on these, so I am curious to see how it wil hold up to the washing machine.

The author stands in front of a hedge, wearing the navy pants/black boots combo. She's at a three-quarters angle to the camera, with a small brown leather bag on her hip. One hand is holding the strap of the bag, and the other is behind the bag.

They will work with plenty of things in my wardrobe, and I have plenty of scraps to play with. This will certainly not be the last pair I make – I have plans for at least three more colours!

Anyways, see ya!
