Floral Skirt

When I saw this fabric in the shop, I knew it was coming home with me. It’s my ultimate weakness – a small floral design on a dark background!

The author stands in front of a hedge, photographed from waist to the ground. She wears a floral gathered skirt with a denim blue shirt and black boots. She has her arms behind her back and faces the camera.

I decided to make it into one of my elastic-waisted skirts, with plenty of pocket space, of course.

Close-up of the floral skirt's side seam. The author has her hand in the side seam pocket. The floral print is very dense, with red, pink, purple, white, yellow, and blue flowers on a black background. The flowers are interspersed with green leaves.

All the different colours in it means I can wear this skirt with most of my shirts.

Another close-up of the floral skirt from the side. This shot focuses on the waistband, which is flat at the front and elasticated at the back.

The author stands in front of a hedge, photographed from waist to the ground. She has the floral skirt/demin shirt/black boots combo on, with hands on her hips and one boot's toe tipped up.

It is quite thick fabric, so it doesn’t swoosh extremely well, but I don’t mind too much.

The author twirls in front of the hedge, trying to get the floral skirt to flare out with the momentum.

These skirts are quite a quick make as well, so they’ve definitely becomd a palette-cleanser. And hopefully with the thickness of the fabric, I can try wearing this in winter – it’s certainly dark enough.

Anyways, see ya!
