Birthday Threads

Hazel’s birthday was on Friday, so I thought such an occasion deserved some new clothes.

Hazel stands in front of a white brick background, looking down at her outfit. She's wearing a matching set, comprising of a long-sleeved shirt and skirt, made in black fabric with small pink and pale green flowers all over it. She's also wearing white shoes and has half her green braids in a bun.

I thought this was quite a wintery fabric, so I decided to make the shirt long-sleeved. It does also have buttons embroidered down the front, only they are black, so they are quire hard to see.

Hazel smiles at the camera, hands clasped in front of her in excitement. She's still wearing the black/pink/green floral set with white shoes. A couple of her braids are pulled forward over one shoulder. She's in front of a white brick background.

As you can see, Hazel loves it!

Hazel stands in grass, with a garden bed behind her. She's backlit by the sun, and is looking up with her hands clasped in front of her. She's wearing the V-necked, long-sleeved shirt from the set with a pink and navy chevron-patterned wool skirt.

Hazel faces the camera, smiling and flicking some braids off her shoulder. She's wearing the V-necked, long-sleeved shirt from the set with a pink and navy wool skirt. She's standing in grass with a garden bed in the background, lit from behind by sunlight.

These sets continue to be a success (though the shirt would probably work a little better with her grey wool skirt).

Hazel is stepping down some rocks, with one hand on the sheer rock face beside her for support. She's wearing the gathered skirt from the set with a green, puff-sleeved shirt and white shoes. In the background, and around the rocks, is grass.

Hazel sits atop a rock, swinging her feet with one hand in her lap and the other braced on the rock behind her. She's smiling into the middle distance. She's wearing the skirt from the set with a green, puff-sleeved top and white shoes. In the background is foliage, very blurred.

With this green top, the skirt works really well for spring! I really do need to make some kind of knitted cardigan for Hazel, though – the long sleeves are difficult to get into woven clothes. Maybe I should knit a cropped vest, or crochet one! A granny square version would look adorable.

Anyways, see ya!
