Leaf Sprout Cable Ties

In-between the bigger projects, I’ve been crocheting these leaf sprout cable ties.

Several small objects are photographed from above on a wood surface. There is a ball of green yarn, a crochet hook, a pair of wired earbuds wrapped in green yarn and crocheted leaves, and two unwrapped crochet yarn/leaves. The yarn/leaves are two crocheted leaves, connected at one end to a small length of crochet chain with a loop at the end. They are small enough to loop around wires to hold them together.

I’m using this pattern from a blog called Once Upon a Cheerio, and they are very quick to make.

Closeup of the author's headphones, of the area near the volume control on the wire. Excess wire is coiled very tightly around itself. One of the crocheted leaf sprout cable ties is holding most of the coiled wire out of the way. It is wrapped just underneath the volume control.

I have two on my headphones, to keep all the wires involved neat, tidy, and contained.

The author's headphones are coiled up for storage, photographed from above on a wood surface. On one side, a second crochet sprout cable tie holds the headphone wire in place where it is coiled around.

(They also add to the “botanical crochet” theme I’ve got going!)

A third crochet sprout cable tie is photographed from above alongside some other objects on a wood surface. Below it is a large amount of navy blue checked fabric. Next to and above the cable tie are a few navy buttons, a pair of thread snips, and navy embroidery thread. Also near the tie is the author's phone, with wired earbuds plugged in and a podcast on the home screen.

I’m using the third one for my earbuds – again, keeping them tidy, contained, and from getting too tangled. (Girls Who Don’t DnD is a fantastic podcast, by the way!)

The photo is taken from above of the author's lap, zoomed in quite a bit. The author is holding her wired earbuds coiled up in their cable tie in her palm. In the background is the author's sunhat, and she is wearing floral pants.

It’s especially useful while travelling! The above picture was taken on the train to the coast, and yes, that is my sunhat I wear everywhere in summer. In fact, I may need to make one or two more sprouts, because I can see some more messy wires….

Anyways, see ya!
