Innovations in Desk Chairs

Seating has been acquired!

Interior of Sarah's bedroom, particularly focusing on her desk and new deskchair. The chair is a similar shade to the desk, with four legs, arms, and a high back. The arms and back are made of lattice, with a solid border around the edges. It faces the desk, and in the background is Sarah's bed, bookshelf, and a rug.

The lattice material came from a bouquet of flowers I was given a while ago, and I think it works well here. I would definitely use it again, perhaps for a window shutter or something similar.

Sarah stands behind the desk chair, smiling at the camera with her hands resting on the back. The seat is now visible, and it's upholstered in a blue paisley fabric. Sarah wears a khaki jacket with a grey shirt underneath, and navy pants.

The test now, is it comfortable?

Sarah is mostly seated on the chair, hands on the armrests as she lowers herself in. She's smiling as Chip the android watches on. Also visible in the scene is the desk, the corkboard above, and the bookshelf.

Looks like it is! And I made sure it was the right height for the desk, too.

Sarah is fully settled into the chair, tucking her elbows into her sides. Chip has elevated their head to see what Sarah's reaction is as she adjusts herself in the chair.

Sarah sits in the chair, back to the camera. She has a hand on a notebook on the desk, and is looking at Chip, who sits beside the desk. The back of the chair is more visible; one can see the lattice has grown darker around the edges where it meets the solid border.

Keen eyes will also note that the legs of the desk have darkened, which I reckon looks a lot better. I’m considering darkening the lattice in the same way; I’m not sure I like having it just around the edges. Maybe I’ll make some other stuff for this room and see how it looks.

Anyways, see ya!
