Sarah’s Bedroom Updates

Two things: first, Sarah has some fresh bedding, as the old stuff had hot glue and strange stains from where she spilled bowls of noodles that didn’t come out in the wash.

The interior of Sarah's bedroom, which has white walls and wooden floors. The bed is dark wood, with a panelled headboard. The new bedspread is navy with yellow stars on it, and the two cushions resting against the headboard are also navy. There is a blue, white, and grey rug on the floor, and Sarah's bookshelf can be seen to the left of the image.

I tried the ol’ iron-creases-into-the-bedspread-where-it-goes-over-the-side-of-the-bed trick, which works much better than hot glue!

Sarah sits on her bed, leaning back on her arms, smiling at the camera. She wears a grey shirt with a khaki jacket, navy pants, and black shoes. The bookshelf is visible, and Chip is at the base of it, facing the bed with their head raised.

Do you like it Chip?”

Sarah leans forward from where she's sitting to smile at Chip. Chip is near the foot of the bed, which is in the foreground of the image. They are looking very closely at the bedspread, which has a plain navy underside.

Second: remember Sarah’s telescope? It’s looking a little tired, to be honest.

Sarah's telescope is photographed against a white brick background, on a wood surface. The telescope itself is bronze-coloured, with a black lens and black viewing holes at the other end. It is on a tripod, which is blue with black ends and height adjusters. A few small pieces of the telescope have broken off, and are beneath the tripod. The blue and black parts are rolled paper, and are a bit faded with age.

There’s juuust enough space in the corner to squeeze it in, so I gave it a bit of love, a fresh paint job, and it’s ready to gaze upon the stars again.

Sarah's telescope is in the corner of her bedroom next to her desk. The telescope looks much the same; fully assembled, same colours. The tripod has had a fresh paint job, and it looks generally less faded now.

At night, of course.

Sarah leans over the telescope, adjusting one of the knobs. She's positioned it so it looks out through the window, which shows a sunny city view. She's pushed her desk chair to the side slightly, so it's out of the way.

I am keen to tackle the walls soon, because I have plans that involve tea-stained paper and beams and such. That needs to happen before I can do shelves or artwork. Otherwise, I think it’s just small things now, like a bedside table, a lamp or two, little bits of ~aesthetic clutter~. Maybe this will be complete by Christmas.

Anyways, see ya!
