Poufs and Persistence

Real Life has been super busy lately, but nevertheless! I persist with the Tea at Yaz’s renovation, by making three poufs this week for the courtyard.

The Tea at Yaz's courtyard. There is a grey metal table against one of the walls, with three brown poufs positioned around it in a semicircle. In the background are two terracotta pots with snake plants in them.

They’re about the height Sarah and the gang need to sit on, and I’ve stuffed them with fabric scraps.

Close-up of one of the poufs. It's made of dark brown fabric, and is cylindrical in shape. Each seam is topstitched on both sides with white stitching.

Most of the seams have been topstitched with white, so they look like they are brown leather. I love the effect it gives!

I also gave them a flat base of cardboard, not that it’s visible. I was inspired by Moroccan poufs that you see around low, octagonal tables.

Petra sits at the table on one of the poufs, with the other two around the table. She has one arm on the table, and the other on her leg as she looks thoughtfully into the middle distance.

I thought three around a table looked friendlier than two, and it’s somewhere for two visitors to place bags and such when dining.

Sarah and Petra sit at the metal table on the poufs. Petra has her hands up as she talks, while Sarah's hands are clasped loosely on the table as she listens.

Next step is a new table – I have the octagonal top cut out already! Just got to do the legs and make some fancy designs for the surfaces.

Anyways, see ya!
