Project Roundup

First project on the go is something new to me – a genuine, going-outside bag.

Various pieces of a half-assembled bag are laid out flat on a wood surface. The fabric is cream, with a floral design woven into the fabric. In the middle of the shot is also a single gold D-ring.

It will be small and circular, and at the moment, it’s going well. (*touches wood*)

More half-constructed bag pieces are laid out flat on a wood surface. There are two circles, one of which is half cut off. The other has a rectangular strip pinned a quarter ways around the edge. The fabric is purple and green, with a scale design. There is also a red pin tin in the shot.

I’ve also started Christmas sewing, very early! I saw these patchwork star decorations and wanted to try them out with leftover Christmas fabric scraps from last year.

Various diamond-shaped patchwork pieces in a variety of Christmas fabrics are scattered on a wood surface. Some diamonds are arranged in star shapes, one green and black and the other red and white. Surrounding these are extra diamonds in all colours, a pair of embroidery scissors, a sewing kit in the bottom right, and gold sequins.

They’re looking cute so far!

Fewer diamond patchwork pieces are in a smaller flatlay on a wood surface. There is one star this time, in black and white in the middle of the shot. Surrounding it are red and green extra diamonds, and gold sequins.

I’ve made a red and green one, and I definitely want to do the green/black and red/white combos, but I’m not sure about the above monochrome combo. I think it’s a bit boring, just black and white – Christmas is meant to be colourful! But then again, it would make a nice set of four decorations. What are your thoughts?

Anyways, see ya!
