Floored

Tea at Yaz’s has new floors! (Hence the title.)

Petra stands in Tea at Yaz's, wearing green overalls and brown boots. The shot is taken from above, so the focus is on the floor and her boots. The floor is orange terracotta tiles from wall to wall.

I am quite happy with these tiles – I made the pattern with a photo I took of real life tiled floors.

Petra stands in the corner of Tea at Yaz's where the front counter would be. She holds back the red curtain over tehe doorway behind the counter, to show a peek of the back rooms. She's wearing a cream striped long-sleeved shirt under her green overalls.

I’ve also been finishing off the walls, by adding things like proper doorways.

Close-up shot of the view to the back rooms of Tea at Yaz's, uncovered by the curtain. On the left is the base of a wooden spiral staircase. On the right is a wooden cabinet with shelves above it. The shelves have potted herbs, jars of spices, stacked plates, stacked books, and tagines on them. The walls are completely beige-coloured, and the floor is the same tiles as the rest of the building.

This one leads to the kitchen of Tea at Yaz’s, which is also the household kitchen. The spiral stairs on the left lead upstairs to where Petra and her family live above the shop.

Close-up of Petra hanging the drinks menu back up on the wall of Tea at Yaz's, where it went beforehand. The drinks menu looks the same as before, with coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and smoothies available.

The drinks menu has also been re-hung….

Petra stands beside the big front window of Tea at Yaz's, looking out from inside. The window has a fresh dark wood windowframe around it, and has the same view as before. Petra smiles at the camera with her hands in her pockets.

….and the window has a new windowframe.

Next step is the interior furniture – the booth seats and the front counter both need some love, then we can get to re-hanging the curtains and adding loads more hanging baskets and plants.

Anyways, see ya!
