Project Roundup

I have three Big Projects I’m working on at the moment – first one is my patchwork pants, which I have made quite a bit of progress on.

All the above bundles of squares have been assembled (thanks, long weekends)….

….and I’ve finished quilting all four panels for one pair just this afternoon. I am making two pairs, so this first pair is the experiment pair (which worked, yay!).

One of the assembled patchwork fabrics is laid out flat and photographed in part from above. There are several pins in the fabric, near the seams. There is a pink sticky note pinned in the bottom left corner, and all the fabrics are shades of blue.

Big Project #2 is this crocheted blanket, which I started late last year. (It’s the Irish Shores blanket by The Guy With the Hook.) I had to order more yarn, which took a few months to arrive, but now it’s here, and I can keep going!

I’ve finished two of seven strips now, and I’m working on strip number three at the moment. At this rate, I hope to complete it this winter.

In that few months of waiting I mentioned, I started a second crochet blanket!

This one comes from one of my crochet magazines, and is more of a “lightweight” blanket. I made 18 squares of 108 on holidays, but I’ve put it to the side for now. Maybe it will be a summer project….
