Project Roundup

I have three Big Projects I’m working on at the moment – first one is my patchwork pants, which I have made quite a bit of progress on.

Four bundles of fabric are photographed from above on a wood surface. They are each in shades of blue, are tied with black cord, and some have a pink sticky note visible.

All the above bundles of squares have been assembled (thanks, long weekends)….

Four folded patchwork fabrics are laid out in a fan on a wood surface, photographed from above. Each has a pink sticky note pinned to the front, with indiscernable writing on. They are all in shades of blue.

….and I’ve finished quilting all four panels for one pair just this afternoon. I am making two pairs, so this first pair is the experiment pair (which worked, yay!).

One of the assembled patchwork fabrics is laid out flat and photographed in part from above. There are several pins in the fabric, near the seams. There is a pink sticky note pinned in the bottom left corner, and all the fabrics are shades of blue.

Big Project #2 is this crocheted blanket, which I started late last year. (It’s the Irish Shores blanket by The Guy With the Hook.) I had to order more yarn, which took a few months to arrive, but now it’s here, and I can keep going!

Two long crocheted strips, and one in progress, are laid out in a rough circle on a wood surface, photographed from above. The top strip is navy blue and the bottom strip is a dull green. The strip in the middle, which is in progress, is also navy blue. The strips have a twisting cable pattern all the way up them.

I’ve finished two of seven strips now, and I’m working on strip number three at the moment. At this rate, I hope to complete it this winter.

The three crochet strips are laid flat next to each other on a wood surface, photographed from above. The strip in progress is positioned halfway along the green strip, with the hook and working yarn beside it. The other navy strip is on the other side of the green strip.

In that few months of waiting I mentioned, I started a second crochet blanket!

Eighteen crocheted squares are laid out in two rows of nine on a wood surface, photographed from above. There are equal numbers of peach, purple, and grey squares.

This one comes from one of my crochet magazines, and is more of a “lightweight” blanket. I made 18 squares of 108 on holidays, but I’ve put it to the side for now. Maybe it will be a summer project….

Anyways, see ya!
