Project Roundup

I like to do any mending for summer clothes in winter, when I have a spare moment, so they are prepared for the next hot season. Thus, this leafy shirt I made at the start of this year has some little holes developing under the underarms.

Closeup of the side seam of a short-sleeved, white shirt covered in leaves. There is a small hole fraying at the underarm, where the sleeve turns a corner and becomes the bodice. The shirt is laid on a wood surface.

Can you see it? There is a patch on the inside of the shirt to reinforce the area, but I clearly need to put one on the outside as well.

The side seam of the leafy shirt is as flat as it can get, especially around the underarm join. A red circle highlights the fraying underarm corner.

Much better! And the fabric is so busy, you’ll hardly notice it. It’s something to watch out for in my other, similar shirts, too.

The leafy shirt is laid flat on a wood surface, and again, the crop of the image is focused on the underarm area. Said underarm area has a new patch over it, concealing the fraying seam.

I’ve also made a bit of progress with this blanket I started a while ago.

Three crochet granny squares, and three piles of granny squares, are arranged on a wood surface. The top three squares are in peach, purple, and grey, from left to right. The piles corrrespond with these colours, left to right, as well. At the very bottom of the image is a crochet hook.

Three more squares have been made, and hopefully that will increase by a couple more before I have to put it aside again.

Several pages of a PDF sewing pattern are laid out on a terracotta tiled surface. Most of them are taped together, with four loose at the bottom of the image. On top of the taped-together section is a tape reel. The whole scene is photographed from above.

I also spent this morning taping together something quite exciting….

Anyways, see ya!
