Project Roundup

Can you believe it’s December tomorrow? I sure can’t. Christmas decorations have gone up, but it feels almost too soon, in a way. I do have plans to make a couple more decorations this month in-between making gifts, so hopefully that will make me feel more festive.

Six bundles of crochet granny squares are arranged in a circle on a wood surface, photographed from above. In the middle of the circle is a small notecard tracking progress on the crochet blanket the squares are part of. The squares are peach, purple, and grey, and there are two bundles of each colour.

In the meantime, I am well into the last third of the squares for this blanket. These six bundles are the first two-thirds of the squares – I find this helps me keep them organised. I might pause this blanket for December, because of the aforementioned decorations. As well as gifts!

A white linen shirt is laid flat on a wood surface, photographed from above. The focus is on one of the armhole seams, where the sleeve attaches to the bodice. The seam allowance is folded down and pinned to the bodice.

I also have a second V&A shirt in the works – it just needs buttons as I type this. It will also need a vest underneath, because white linen is quite see-through. The plan is to whip that up from linen scraps, so it shouldn’t take long.

In addition to decorations and gifts, I’ve been thinking about making more crochet stuffed toys. I really enjoyed making Appa, so I’d love to try and design some patterns. I have a few ideas already, and so far, they are all smaller than Appa!

Anyways, see ya!
