Don’t Lettuce Down

This lettuce was definitely larger in my head, but that didn’t translate to reality somehow. It may just be a pygmy lettuce.

I made it by cutting a wavy edge along a strip of paper, then painting both sides with watercolours to look like lettuce leaves.

It was then meant to be rolled into a spiralled cone, so the leaves would fit in the gaps.

However, I couldn’t get the spiralled cone to work, so the leaves attach to the outside instead.

It still looks lettuce-like though, so I’m not too bothered. I am quite happy with how realistic the painting is, watercolours were definitely the right paints to use.

Anyways, see ya!

  1. Your post title made my day, hehe. What a cute little lettuce! I also can’t get over how realistic Sarah looks in that second-to-last photo, with all her little sandwich preparation supplies. It’s amazing! πŸ™‚
