The Reading Chair

I’ve decided to make a reading nook for Flourish & Blotts, and I just recently finished making an armchair for it.

I wanted the chair to look like it belonged in the Gryffindor common room, and this fabric was the best fabric I had for the job.

The seat of the chair is removable, so things can be stored in it.

The arms are squishy, as they’re bolster cushions glued onto the sides with fabric wrapped over them.

As a result, they’re wide enough for an elbow, or a hot drink if you’re careful.

I’m quite happy with it; I really like the storage under the seat, though I’d change the fabric if I could. Probably to some deep red checks or paisleys or something. Or even just to plain dark red, that’d look good.

Okay, I think I need a side table, because that mug will fall off at some point, I’m sure of it.

Anyways, see ya!
