Not Summer Socks

Ah yes, the perfect summer project for a day that’s 35C is…. a pair of winter socks.

The author wears a pair of crocheted socks on a pale grey fabric background. The socks are various shades of blue, with sections of speckled colour. Her feet are next to each other, flat on the fabric.

In all seriousness, I do really like them! And I’m very happy I got around to them this year.

A pair of crocheted socks is laid flat on a white brick background. The socks are various shades of blue, with sections of speckled colour. The leg and foot sections are in a granny square-esque stitch, while the heel and toe are solid double crochet.

They look a little bit different to the pink ones because I worked into the correct stitch, which I did not do on my first pair.

Two pairs of crocheted socks sit folded on a white brick background. The pair on the left are various shades of blue, with sections of speckled colour. The pair on the right are shades of pink, pale purple, grey, and speckled brown.

It looks good either way, I reckon!

The author wears a pair of crocheted socks and silver sparkly Converse shoes against a white background. The socks are various shades of blue, with sections of speckled colour. Her feet are sideways, pointing to the right, and her back heel is raised.

Hmmm, I wonder what other colours this yarn comes in…. Maybe I should make any future pairs in winter….

Anyways, see ya!

  1. Those are beautiful! I’ve been making some crochet socks myself lately but whatever heel you are using looks so much better than mine. What pattern are you following? I love how they look with those sparkly shoes!
