Artistic Liberties

Tiffany’s new dress is strongly based on one I own, though there were a few artistic liberties.

Tiffany stands in front of a white brick background. She wears an ankle-length sleeveless dress with a circular skirt and V-neck. It is black with pink and orange flowers on, and green leaves.

I was also trying out a more fitted bodice, and a circular skirt.

Close-up of the V-neckline of the dress, which has a facing. Also visible are the under-bust darts.

The neckline has a facing, which I do like. It doesn’t have pockets (I know!), but that’s because this fabric is very hard to work with, and pockets would have made it harder.

Tiffany faces away from the camera, wearing the ankle-length floral dress. The back of the dress is visible, and a Velcro fastening peeks out from the fabric overlap at the back of the torso.

Are we good enough for a Vogue cover yet? 😀

Tiffany stands outside, against a wooden fence, wearing the ankle-length floral dress and white runners. She holds the skirt in one hand and is turning to the right, as if she's about to twirl.

This was Tiffany going for an ‘ancient forest being’ vibe – I’m not sure how well that works with runners….

Tiffany sits on a rock covered in moss and a coral-like fungi. (I don't really know what it is.) She wears the ankle-length floral dress with white runners, and is sitting on it like it's a comfortable stool. She looks to the left.

Tiff loves the long, flowing skirt, and even though it’s difficult to work with, I love the fabric! Though maybe the next thing I make with it will be simpler.

Anyways, see ya!
