This little rabbit plushie came with a spring issue of Mollie Makes, so perhaps I started it to hold onto some of the warm weather that’s departed with the first day of winter this week.
The basket-weave is laid work, which I haven’t done before. I was glad to find that it’s not too difficult!
Naturally, because it’s a rabbit, there are carrots in the basket.
Embroidering the stems was a lot of fun, and made me think of an overgrown garden, filled with wildflowers and just growing on its own.
Do you do seasonal crafts in the right seasons, or just whenever, like I do? 🙂
Anyways, see ya!

So cute! I love all the bright colors and details. That basketweave stitch is really cool, it has a completely different look than the crochet basketweave stitch, which is interesting! It’ll make such a cute plush when you’re done. 😀

Thank you! I love the effect of the basketweave stitch, I definitely need to use it more often. 😊
