Project Roundup

Sarah’s local bookstore is getting a renovation, so I’ve been doing a lot of planning for that at the moment.

The corner of a sketchbook, five coloured pencils, and a phone sit on top of an open folder. The folder is open to a piece of paper with dark wood printed on, in a clear plastic sleeve. The sketchbook shows plans for a bookshop. The phone is open to a Pinterest board with various bookshop images on.

Below is where I’m at right now; I need more paper for the door, and there’s stuff I still need to decide on for the window and sign. But I do love the window in the door!

An unfinished storefront sits on a white background. There is a door on the right of the storefront, a window to the left, and space for a store name above the door and window.

I’ve finished all the cross-stitching in my sunflower embroidery! Now I’ve just got to do all the backstitching, which is very time-consuming.

Nine sunflowers in a basket against a serene countryside are cross-stitched onto cream fabric. There are three birds backstitched in the sky and the basket has backstitched detail.

I’ve done three more flowers from here, but there’s still all the leaves and stems to do.

A folded pie of fabric scraps sits on a white background. The fabric is black with flowers and leaves printed on in green, blue, mustard yellow, pink, and white.

And above are the scraps from a recent me-sized sewing project that I can’t wait to make into doll clothes! I plan on finishing the sunflowers before I make any more doll clothes though, which is why I’m backstitching as fast as I can.

What are you working on?

Anyways, see ya!
