Winter Sewing Begins

The weather’s slowly getting colder here, which means new wardrobe pieces! I’ve started with a simple long-sleeved top for Petra.

Petra wears a long-sleeved navy top with pink, red, yellow and white flowers on, and her pink corduroy shorts. Her hands are in her pockets and she smiles at the camera.

It’s made from the same fabric I made my first pair of pants with – I love it in both life-size and miniature clothes!

Side-on close-up of the sleeve and side of the shirt. The pattern on the shirt also has green leaves in-between the flowers.

You can really see the detail of the smaller flowers in the design in this scale.

I wanted to find some yellowy-orange leaves for this shoot, but these bark chips were the closest thing I could find.

Looks great under pinafores (or dungarees) too! Petra loves the print, it fits her wardrobe and aesthetic really well. I think I’m getting better at sleeves, though it is a slow process! I definitely want to make more long-sleeved things this winter, to practice and expand Petra and Tiffany’s wardrobes.

Anyways, see ya!
