Over Christmas, I was lucky enough to receive a number of wonderful gifts (thank you!), some of which included these books.
I remember reading the Infernal Devices after I’d read the Mortal Instruments, and liking these three more than the original six. Also, these covers are gorgeous.
This series is called Princess Academy, and is about a girl from a poor mountain community who, in learning to read, helps her community to prosper. I feel it’s really underrated, so if you spot it on a shelf, do pick it up! The first one is the pink one on the left.
I received the first and the third (the green one) for Christmas, as I’d already purchased the second one (purple, at the top).
Rejected Princesses is actually the book for a website that I found a while ago, and it tells the stories of women throughout history who were too “Awesome, Awful, or Offbeat for Kids’ Movies.”
I would highly recommend checking the website out, though I would watch the maturity ratings on the side of the entries.
You can see RP on the right here, on top of the TLC colouring book.
And the Infernal Devices and Princess Academy are again on the right here. (The garland of beads are my Christmas decorations, which I haven’t taken down yet!)
Did you get any books for Christmas? If not, what was your favourite thing about Christmas?
Anyways, see ya!
