Over the last two weeks or so, I bought three new books.
Geekerella came from Book Depository, and I bought the Six of Crows duology at a local bookstore.
I decided to get the Geekerella hardcover instead of the paperback because of the cover extensions onto the flaps of the dust jacket, and because the book without the dust jacket is so pretty!
I love the shade of pale blue they used, and the silver Starfield logo on the front. (Starfield is the fictional TV show the main character geeks out over in the book.)
I’ve designed embroidered badges for both of the new books, so hopefully I’ll make them soon. Both of these books are recommended reads from me, Geekerella is a contemporary Cinderella retelling based around a comic-con, and Six of Crows is a fantasy heist set in the Grisha world, made by Leigh Bardugo.
Anyways, see ya!

Very nice! I’ve been meaning to read all of these for quite some time now, I just got six of crows out from the library and can’t wait to read it!😄

Thank you! You’ll love Six of Crows, my favourite part of the duology is the characters, as they’re so multi-faceted and interesting to read about. 🙂

New books are so exciting! Geekerella sounds amazing, a fairytale retelling based around a comic con! I loved Queens of Geek, which also takes place at a convention, so I’ll have to check it out. I just need to get around to reading the Six of Crows duology, I’ve heard great things about them. I’ve been rereading the ACOTAR series in preparation for the new book. 🙂 Can’t wait to see the badges you designed!

I know, I love the smell of new book, it’s divine! I really need to read Queens of Geek, it looks as amazing as Geekerella if the bright pink hair on the cover is anything to go by. I’m really excited for ACoFaS, though I haven’t had the tine to re-read the series in-between all my other reading, eep! I should be making the badges fairly soon, hopefully! 😀
