Project Roundup

Guess what I’m attempting again! It’s fabric dolls.

Pattern pieces for a miniature head, leg, torso and arm lie on a wood parquet background.

This is the muslin that I’m using to test out the pattern and experiment with techniques, if necessary. The actual dolls will be made with some nice cotton.

Various miniature body parts are in various stages of completion on a wood parquet background.

All ready for assembly!

All the completed parts to a muslin doll are laid out on a white brick background, roughly in position to make a doll.

(I had to.)

Sarah holds the stuffed head of the muslin doll in one hand. She holds it out away from herself, with the head looking back at her. She looks at the head. The whole pose is reminiscent of Hamlet.

I’ve also finally settled on a Carry On badge design, which I think I first read 2 or 3 years ago?

A sketch from a sketchbook shows a badge design inspired by 'Carry On' by Rainbow Rowell. A pink rose is in the centre, with red dragon wings above and two vampire teeth below. There is a purple background.
A square of purple fabric sits on a white brick background, surrounded by white, red, and pink thread.

I have no idea about how to embroider the rose in the middle without learning a new stitch, though, so it’s been stalled again. Hopefully I’ll figure out something soon!

Anyways, see ya!
