Project Roundup

My bakery’s front façade is coming along slowly – here we’ve got the exterior brickwork done….

The front of a cereal box fills the image, covered in cardboard that peeks out from behind white brick paper. Two roughly rectangular holes are left in the paper for a door and a window, which the cardboard is visible through.

….and the addition of a window. The plan is to have the name of the bakery painted onto the glass of the window, which will hopefully look really good!

The front of a cereal box fills the image, covered in cardboard that peeks out from behind white brick paper. A rectangle for the door is left uncovered on the left of the box, and a view into the shop is on the right. 'Inside' the shop is cushions on a window seat in the foreground, a table and chairs in the midground, and a counter filled with desserts in the background. On the wall in the very back is a chalkboard menu.

I’m also sewing together all the squares for my cushion cover – these two stacks below are sewn together in pairs.

A stack of crocheted squares sits against a white brick background. The squares are sewn together in pairs along one edge, then stacked and folded in half. Two separate folded stacks of squares are stacked in the image.

I’ve been sewing them to make these 2×4 rectangles while watching the Olympics.

Two rectangles of crocheted squares are flat on a wooden background. Both rectangles are 2 by 4 squares; the bottom rectangle is completely sewn together, and the top one has two squares on the left partially connected to the rest.

When I’ve got four of these rectangles, I’ll sew them together at the top and bottom edges. I will probably also use the back of these squares as the ‘right’ side, because this side of them looks a little messy! I’ll see what it looks like when it’s on the cushion insert.

Anyways, see ya!
