Finished Cushion Cover

At the end of last week, I got all the cushion cover squares sewn together to make this really long and thin blanket of sorts.

32 crocheted squares, of various colours, are sewn together to make a long rectangle of fabric. It sits on a white background. A few loose ends are visible around the edges of the rectangle.

Which I then sewed together to finish this cushion cover!

A crocheted cushion cover sits on a white couch. It is made of crocheted squares in various bright colours, with four buttons buttoned into a crocheted-on strip that covers the opening.

These buttons were free with a magazine a while ago – the one on the right is peachier in real life.

Close-up of two of the buttons on the cushion cover. The left button is dark pink, the right button is a pale peach. The crocheted overlap has buttonholes in it, and is striped blue and purple.

And here’s the back:

The back of the crocheted cushion cover sits on a white couch. There are no buttons or buttonhole additions to overlap any squares, so a grid of 4x4 squares is visible.

I almost like the side with the buttons more than this side! I’m really happy with it, and I can’t imagine making an entire blanket – this alone took months! I probably won’t be doing anything like this for a while, and I might give it a few years before I attempt a blanket.

Anyways, see ya!
