Marvel-ous Scarf

I’ve had a Ms Marvel cosplay in the works for a while, as she’s one of my favourite Marvel characters, and this scarf is one of the finishing touches for the outfit.

A long red scarf, folded to fit into frame, sits on a white background. A length of yellow ribbon is sewn onto each end in a half-star shape.

It didn’t take very long! Hand-stitching the ribbon onto the ends took longer than making the scarf itself.

Close-up shot of the yellow ribbon sewn onto the ends of the scarf. The small stitches are visible, as well as the folds in the corners of the star shape.

I love the way the ribbon turned out – I thought it was not going to be this neat!

The author stands in front of a hedge wearing the red scarf around her neck, looped once with both ends in front of her. She also wears a purple button-down shirt tucked into jeans. She has her hands on her hips, and the two star motifs at the ends of the scarf are visible.

The best thing is that it’s a very practical scarf – one I could wear with any winter outfit as well as with the cosplay.

I have one more thing I want to make to complete the costume, then maybe I’ll post some pictures of the entire cosplay here. In the meantime, I shall get back to chasing bad guys the craft studio!

See ya!
