The First Skirt

From flat fabric….

Tiffany stands at the fabric table in Needle & Thread, smoothing out a bolt of white and blue pinstriped fabric. One hand reaches for fabric scissors, ready to cut out pattern pieces.

….to fab(ulous) skirt! This skirt is our first ventures into the uncharted lands of skirt-making.

Tiffany stands facing the camera, wearing a white and blue pin-striped A-line skirt. Her hands are on her hips, and she is against a white brick background.

It, of course, has pockets, and does up in the back with a hook and eye closure.

Close-up shot of an in-seam pocket in one side seam of the skirt. A silver hook and eye fastening can be seen in the background.

At first, I thought it was very stiff, and flat across the front, but now looking at the photos….

Tiffany stands outside, on the edge of a path, green grass behind her. Her hands are in the pockets of her skirt, and she is looking to the right.
Tiffany walks towards the camera along the edge of the path. Behind her is grass and a garden bed in the distance.

….I kinda like it! I would have liked the stripes to go straight down, but that would have made the skirt far trickier to make than necessary. Onto the next one!

Anyways, see ya!
